4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved here from another state where our child was enrolled in one of the better schools in the city. However, when she started at Burns Middle, we were astounded by the positive changes we saw in her. She had more confidence both academically and socially. She truly shines thanks to the staff and faculty at BMS!Parent Review5y ago - Tamarack Elementary School

"We’ve been here for sixteen years and our neighborhood along with the city is family friendly. There is a green belt around the city for walking or bike riding that connects at several locations for easy access. The playgrounds and parks are throughout including sports parts and a new dog park. You feel safe just about everywhere and can get anyplace in about ten minutes using the bypass. We have a new hospital and healthcare is good in this area and there is a variety of religious opportunities. Schools are excellent and local colleges offer just about any occupation our children want to explore. We feel very lucky to have been raised in Owensboro and to live in the newer neighborhood that we have called home for so long. "
