The teachers and principal are amazing at Jennie Wilson! My daughter has received the attention and training she deserves. I have never had a negative issue with JW and their staff. The one incident my daughter was involved in, I was notified right away and it was handled with absolute care, even to the point the principal gave me her personal contact information in case she could be of any help outside school hours. When we bought a home in Garden City, we only looked in the JW school boundaries due to the positive feedback from so many people in the community.

For one child that went through here the experience was ok. There’s several great teachers. But other 2 kids that have been through here it was awful. Bullying, harassment, and when this was taken to the principal and counselor nothing was done and in one pretty serious situation (student self-harming) the comments and reaction I got from the counselor was absolutely disgusting (no true help to the child in need except that the counselor tells kids in that situation “imagine what your arms will look like at prom”). Not a safe environment for these kids’ well being.

Great option for those that need a different setting to succeed. But it only works if you do the work. Very well organized and thought out way of alternative learning. Many great options and opportunities for learning and succeeding. Good communication with the student and parents. Thankful for this school!
