I’m a current student in Greencastle Middle school. This year, I am headed to eighth grade. I am rating this school a one, mostly because on the staff and environment. The staff barely do anything about being teased or made fun of. A simple lunch detention or ‘talk’ with them won’t do anything to make them see different. Academically, the teachers are usually fun and seem to do what they can to help the student understand what they need to. Although, the tests and other requirements aren’t usually met. The environment is terrible. I’ve been judged, teased, and made fun of by fellow students. Because of this, my mental health has been declining greatly. I’ve talked to teachers and other staff about my troubles, and they never do anything to actually fix the problem. If you want a school full of friendly students, GMS is not the school for you. If you want the staff (counselor, principal, vice principal, etc.) to actually do something about bullying, then you might want to find a different school.

My daughter spent 2 years in TZ and absolutely loved it, especially the care and dedication shown by the teachers who tailored the program to meet the individual needs of the children. Despite now attending a school with a higher rating in another city, she still feels upset and we miss TZ and the peaceful town of Greencastle.
