After living in five different states, I'm disappointed in Illinois' standards and lack of funding despite SKY HIGH property taxes. I don't understand the "registration fee" required for every student for 12 years in this state, and I can confirm other reviews that students (and parents) are extremely clique-oriented and students are very entitled. "IL State Fair is great every August. And there are a lot of festivals and outings downtown through out the summer weekends. The fair also has motorcycle races on Labor Day and Memorial Day weekends as well. And everyone has to visit The Lincoln Sites and the museum and library!!!!! "
