8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible not safe. This school has a group of kids running around threatening and beating kids up like its a gang territory. The school is not safe multiple fights last at least a minute and the adults do nothing but watch the kids get beat. The discipline is horrible they let these kids get right back into the school.I am a victim of harassment. They cornered and threatened me and when me and my mom went and reported it to the school the school didn’t do nothing and tried to instead frame me for calling them cuss words when I didn’t do anything like that. Also, a few weeks later they brutally beat a kid with multiple people while adults just watched. They did this in a public hallway with a bunch of kids and adults in front of the media center. The school suspended the kids for a week but they are back acting like nothing happened because nothing really happened and they wasn’t effected in any real way cuz they don’t care bout they education. The school don’t make any real effort to make them care either they basically gave up on them kids. This school is horrible and I hate it I wanna transfer not safe don’t send your kid unless you want to put them under threat in a unsafe place.Student Review1y ago - Lincoln Prairie School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHomework: They do give more homework than I’ve heard other schools give, however, throughout my years attending this school they have been decreasing the load as per parent complaints. I experienced a lot of stress with the homework load 4-8 grade, but time management and self advocacy were highly valued, along with student emotional/mental well-being, so I always received any adjustments I needed through compromise or simple communication. The content of the homework was really good. It wasn’t just worksheets and busywork, but creative projects and assignments that were very stimulating and dived deeper into the subject. Every assignment was to learn and understand, not just to have something to grade. For parents of future or current students of this school: when homework gets overwhelming, encourage your child to talk to their teacher about it or use it as an opportunity to teach productivity or time management. These are things the school heavily focused on, but it still took time for us to grasp the concept of being responsible our academic careers.Teachers: The teachers are excellent and very caring. They teach their classes well and are always open to providing extra help with any challenges a student may have. Both academically and emotionally, these teachers are very supportive. Not every teacher and student can click, so if your child is unable to make a connection with one teacher, they are exposed to many other adults in the building that they can seek for help.Leadership and Character: Teachers and staff exhibit leadership and teach it to students. LP is very community-centric, so having and making leaders is critical. I left this school understanding that the main quality of a leader was not to attract followers, but to create more leaders. LP builds strong character in students by providing opportunities for self discovery and lots of role models in the community. They teach kindness, courage, and self-sufficiency.Learning Differences: Accommodations are always made for disadvantaged students. Students with learning differences always had teachers with them and were involved in classes, but students who just fell behind in class did not receive as much attention as they should have. Bullying: I didnt experience much first-hand, but I wont ignore that it was present in this school as much as any other school. Teachers take care of it when it’s reported and we have anti-bullying assemblies to combat it.Parent Review2y ago - Dwight D Eisenhower Junior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the terrible school I ever came across my son was always bullied. I was force to take him out of that school I am writing to express my concern about the bullying my son has experienced at this school …He has been consistently harassed and taunted by his peers, which has created a hostile learning environment. The bullying has included racial slurs cal him Negro and derogatory language, which is unacceptable. I have spoken with the school administration and teachers, but the behavior continues. I urge the school to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that all students feel safe and respected but never happened I was force to take him out of that school .Parent Review1mo ago - John Muir Literacy Academy

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagea very good school, the best teachers, uh, kind people love children, take care of them and worry about them. my kids didn't speak english but thanks to these teachers they started to speak english, started to love math and do very well ! I am glad that I sent my children to this school when it was very difficult and difficult for them to move to another country. reading bad reviews about this school i don't believe it because it can't be true.
