Description

This property is not currently for sale or for rent on Trulia. The description and property data below may have been provided by a third party, the homeowner or public records.
Very nice home with great view. The home is small, but very open. Virtually everything is new within the last year or two except the foundation. It is original, but in good shape. The walls, ceiling, roof, kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, furnace, etc. are all new except a deck on the west side of the house needs to be installed or perhaps decorated with potted plants. The siding is new. Even the deck at the lake, dock and hoist are new. The deck is cantilevered over the lake so ice is no problem in the winter. And it's all beautiful. Very tastefully done!!!!!!!!! Lovely!!!!!!!! The dock is number 3056. I just heard a FALSE rumor that the dock might not go with the house. IT DOES! I have a letter from a lawyer to prove it. The road is very low traffic, the lake view is super, shopping is close, and the amphitheater is an easy walk away. Key is in keybox at the side door. Lake Grove Club dues are $125, lake dues are $67 to City of Decatur. Both paid already.

What Locals Say about Decatur

  • Trulia User
"I dislike living in Decatur. The only good thing about it so far is that it is cheap to live here, but I do not feel safe when I'm out of the house. I constantly have to worry if my car will be stolen or vandalized while I'm not paying attention. I constantly hear gunshots at night, emergency vehicle sirens, noisy train horns, people getting into loud arguments and fistfights, it seems like it never stops. The air in Decatur reeks like cheap dog food if you're lucky, and like a wastewater treatment plant if you're not."
