"See dogs all the time being walked in the neighborhood. Some owners need to be a little more cautious and responsible and pick up the poop. "
  • Sherman_butler
"It’s been a safe place thus far for my family of 5 and I, parks, schools, and neighborhood stores and restaurants are known to be family friendly."
  • Crystal
"Move to the area where the houses are it’ll be much quieter. If you move on the block where there are apartments buildings it can get a little loud and cars tend to drive really fast down some blocks "
  • Trulia User
"Sketchy people and bad drivers. Streets are always filled with trash because people dump their waste out the window. There are some nice parts and good people but you don’t run into them often. "
  • Cnita2

"Lived in calumet city for 11 years it's nice just some times be careful about the police some are nice but some do harrass"
  • Sofar Sogood
"I've been in this neighborhood going on five years. It's pleasant to a dgree, and the neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. It's quiet for the most part but get pretty noisy around summer break, and the fourth of July with the never ending fire crackers, and M-80's. I sometimes worry about the elderly neighbors who has to listen to this for hours, and even into months after the holiday. But I feel safe coming, and going."
  • Trulia User
"I’m in the deep eastern part of Calumet City, anything relatively close to a restaurant is atleast a 30 minute walk."
  • Zackery S.
"My neighborhood has terrible access to public transportation. Not only are the Pace buses not reliable, the stops are too far stretched apart to walk."
  • Fieldslm
"Great place to live, quite place and everyone looks out for each other. Major intersection of highways and easy access tho airports."
  • Lmjcwj2012
"Back to school events, summer programs, book clubs, Memorial Day parade, football and basketball leagues, farmers market "
  • Cristinaharo1980
"My commute can get frustrating. We drive to South Chicago the Downtown. Winter time is the worst our time driving will double and at times triple."
  • Reghaynes
"Great place to live despite extraordinary property taxes. Everything you need is only a few minutes away "
  • Floyd674
"All stores are close, expressway is close, kids play area and it’s peaceful! I like the area and my favorite restaurant is close which is Culver!"
  • Scriptwriter1970
"Very safe. Police always on patrol, streets are blocked in the morning by School so no one can drive down them to hurt anyone."
