2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to work at the center near there. I was there from 2002 til 2015. A couple times a month, some kid shooter and or a kid ditching would be running in Thatcher woods from that school and the police/ guards would be chasing them. The center would go into lock down for our own safety. Kids from that school that have gone to the center were either scared, dangerous, or didn't care about anyone but themselves. Driving by there isn't safe and anyone from Chicago, Melrose, Maywood, and or Forest Park knows not to send their kids there. If you have too go there, hopefully they make it the 4 years and that kid keeps their head down.Parent Review1y ago - Proviso West High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLunch lady's are rude when ordering food. The food was horrible by the way. Kids fight nonstop for fun some things can lead to death or serious injury. This is not a school. It's a prisonStudent Review1mo ago - Proviso Math And Science Academy

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's really good so far. I am the most recent review so things have changed since the older reviews. Now you have to take a test to get in. Everyone's nice besides a few characters but other than that there is a level of respect that everyone gets and it's very high.Student Review6y ago - Roosevelt Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat but the only thing i wish about schools now put the activities back so that the kids can stay kids more assembly's, celebrate holidays in these assembly's ,let the kuds pass out goodies when its required like birthdays,Christmas, Thanksgiving,Valentine's Day and Halloween, Black History, Cinco de Mayo and St Patrick's Day in Roosevelt School not going to other schools in the 89th district. Make it fun as well as learning. Thank youParent Review5y ago - Irving Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIrving middle school has been the same since i attended back in 2006/2007. Being a single Black mother raising a young black male is very hard especially when you don't have help (male figures). Speaking for all BLACK mothers who send their childre3n to school rather 2 parent household or not we still send our children to school in hopes that they will be protected, educated, properly guided, and heard! Irving has failed to do that with me and now yet again 16 years later with my son. My son is an honor roll student, basketball player, and is apart of district 89 activities and community and yet they failed to protect him! The principle couldn't even tell you my son's name out of a line up and i am not ok with that. My son has been picked on and unfairly disciplined to the point i removed him today! Would I recommend Irving Middle School of Maywood? If you want your child in an environment where he/she can focus on education/ thrive physically, emotionally, and intellectually then NO i do not recommend because Irving is the exact opposite. Signed a furious loving/advocating Black Mother!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 2116 14th Ave #2N.

"30 year resident of Broadview. Raises several children here. One of the best school districts in the area. Children can go to the park or ride bikes without fear or reservations. Children leave our school district more than ready for high school and often test higher than other children. "

"My Family and I moved out here in 2008, we love it!. My mom has been out her since the late 90's. It was only a matrter of time before we followed suit. Lindop School is one the the best schools my son attended. The teachers and staff all know me by my first name. The Lindop Staff care very much for their students. I am kept abreast of every thing and at a moments notice. There are many stores and restaurants to accomodate all the needs of this community. Law enforcement performs their jobs on the highest level. Public transportation is right outside our doors. The people in the community respect each others privacy. It Is A Wonderful Place To Live!"
