N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSome of the teachers are wonderful and seem interested in the students' learning and reaching goals they set. These teachers appear to be the newer ones. Many of the tenured teachers don't seem interested in helping kids reach individual goals. One (tenured) math teacher even suggested that rather than us worrying about helping our daughter work towards better grades that we tell her that she might not be cut out for better grades and we should really teach her to accept just being below average. The teacher actually said this would be better for our daughter's self-esteem to accept that she wasn't as good as the other kids, rather than be disappointed by trying and failing! I was disappointed that this was the type of teachers this school found qualified to teach the children. The only reason for the two stars instead of one was because there were a couple of teachers who worked with our daughter, set goals with her, and saw many of those goals reached. The "experienced" teachers did little to impress us in that regard.Parent Review10y ago - Burton Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI like that the school is brand new. Principal Busby loves the children and there are many opportunities for artistic growth in the school as well as academic. Because it is small, the children really get to know everyone.Parent Review14y ago - Kennedy Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a child I went to this school, now as a parent my children go here. The teachers here have always been effective and willing to help the children in their classroom. Given the current state of our country (COVID-19), I find that the teachers are accommodating and doing their absolute best. I’ve loved this school and I’ve loved the teachers, the principals and the rest of the staff. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better school to send my children.Other Review3y ago - Madison Junior High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRexburg has a very competitive religious community (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). Talented individuals can be overshadowed by even more talented individuals - our Jr. Miss competitions testify to that. Cliques are abundant. Some are students seeking to excel and help others, others are looking to rebel to make an identity for themselves. I'll never forget how hard I laughed when the senior goth clique graduated and a group of sophomores with newly goth themed painted faces took over their table. All in all an excellent school. Students are challenged to succeed and the staff has a genuine interest in the success of their students.Student Review12y ago - Check out schools near 138 Dakota Ave.
