5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBorn and raised in Waterloo, Currently 21. Went to Kittrell, Orange, Hoover middle, West High, Hawkeye CC, and currently University of Northern Iowa. West High school will more than prepare your child for their future. They offer a excellent education in whatever your child may seek interest in, as well as superb sports teams. They as well have a detached Career Center building where your child can earn college credits and save money in the process. Teachers are amazing and your child will love it. As my classmates and i did. Police officers keep the peace, multiple counselors and Principals so your children will always be heard. AP classes and more available.Other Review1y ago - Central Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagecares about the education of my child. Issuesa arise becasue often teachers and administrators hands are tied because of district rules making it impossible to get kids who are disruptive and aren't ready for learning out of the classroom - alternative seats are very limited. The teachers and staff work very hard to make every student feel welcome and part of the school. Interesting to read parent complaints when very few parents are involved in anything other than extra-curricular activites. Yes - some teachers could challenge kids more but parents need to be ready to support learning at home.Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 316 Edwards St.

" The community is really good if you get into people like that. There is not a lot to do around here unless you have money. There are a lot of trains around. People have dogs around here a lot and I hear gunshots a lot. I grew up here so I don’t find it very exciting. Most people got to work come home and stay away from each other. "

"it has some nice people, with sketchy people mixed in. it's too loud with harleys speeding hard through here and people thumping music too loud at all hours. I would not recommend this neighborhood to a young professional person. "
