2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDavenport North High School is a great school. My son currently goes there and is in the dual enrollment program. He is also involved in athletics. The teachers and administrators truly care about their students and there is a noticeable change in the culture there. The school is safe and the kids feel comfortable. The athletic teams are starting to have more success and big part of that is the great feeder program that has been developed over the past few years. The feeder program is now the envy of all the Davenport schools. "Everyone has at least 2 dogs. Our block alone is home to 17! We also have a very narrow street and people park their motorhomes right in front of their houses. And there's always at least one guy shooting off fireworks, no matter the time of year. it's a hoot. "

"It’s quiet there are good neighbors we have 2 acres so it’s not like we live in the city when we are in our back yard. Stores are very close by and the high school is only 2 blocks away. We have had minimal issues with any crime and what we have had has been very minor. "

"I grew up in this neighborhood and have been back here for 3 years. I love our little West End community. People are friendly, and look out for one another. But they also just let you do you and they don't sweat the small stuff. They mind their own business, and yet care about one another. It's a great neighborhood for laid back people."
