3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think these scores are misleading and I would hate for folks from our if town who don't know the school to believe these numbers. There are some students who have attendance problems and their absences do hurt their scores and graduation rates. But for children who show up every day you have great teachers, high quality challenging classes, lots of advanced courses and things to do after school. If you have talented student they will not be disappointed here and will have great preparation for college. My daughter went to Carnegie Mellon for computer science degree from here and got all As there. It's a diverse fun school and had committed staff and teachers. If your student card about their education they will get what they need. Come and visit.Parent Review9mo ago - Grant Wood Elementary School

Fights are a very common occurrence. The food is is sometimes moldy or past it’s do date and is gross.Parent Review1mo ago - Check out schools near 618 Grant Wood Dr SE.

"it's not a safe neighborhood. there are gunshots on a weekly basis. I do not recommend anyone move to this area, especially if they have children. we have seen police presence, high speed chases, drug deals in the street, people walking their dogs off leash. it's not safe."

"Neighbors are friendly and kind. Neighborhood is great for taking walks and bike rides, and only a short 10 minute walk to Newbo. Pleasant neighborhood that I’ve enjoyed living in, however street lights are not always plentiful or working, so walks may be better taken during daylight. Really feel like this area is quaint and quiet, but just needs a little love from the city to give it a facelift. "
