N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has many positives, but also many negatives. The positives are that there are many teachers who sincerely care about the students. The 'typical' students get good grades and a good education. One of our children was in special education at this school and the teachers were wonderful. This child did not have any social or behavioral issues however. Another child had social issues due to Autism Spectrum disorder, and this child was 'punished' for behavior that was beyond his/her control. This child was allowed to be treated badly by some of the other students also. The parents at this school live thru their children. They will throw fits to make sure their children on the sporting teams they want them to be on and good sportsmanship is not important. It thrills me to hear my kids tell me the things they learn in school and how the teachers (most, not all) make it FUN. There was a comment by another reviewer about cliques, and I don't disagree. "Many, many dog owners and lovers in the neighborhood. Dog walking is a common, daily activity for most of these people. Even non dog owners seem to like to see the dogs out and about. Owners are conscientious about picking up after their pets."

"Turn of the last Century charm! Quite! Walk to stores, churches, events, restaurant! Dog walking is big here! Bike and skateboard friendly! Hoot Owls, Birds, Squirrels, Rabbits, Raccoons, Possums. Trees tons of ground cover plants. Shade!!!!"

"I’ve lived here for 2 years. It’s ISU owned housing so we have most amenities. It’s near Greek housing so there is a large party scene on the weekends. It’s also near Lincoln Way so it can be loud."
