6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son really likes the diverse atmosphere and incredible creative ways that the pricipal provides. Some teachers are awesome and others not so awesome. I hate having to pick out individual teachers that do not represent the kind of incredible ability to teach, inspire and reach out to their students. I understand that teachers are in short supply and good teachers are hard to come by. But I must say that teaching is an art. Nit a job you just decide to do because you think it's easy or that your benefits is all that matters. One such teacher came across to me in this fashion. his initials is D. Y. and I am not pleased that this school has an individual working that does to represent the kind of ability to teach and get involved as everyone else does. In a way, teachers are like your best friend to help you learn and grow and develop. Not be afraid to ask a question in fear of being ridiculed in class or inculted as to not do their homework. English is a very inportant subject and a teacher should be able to teachthis correctky, make it fun, bring the class together and learn together. This is the kind of spirity I gather from the overall aspect of thos school. One individual is not made of the same substance and is on his own mission and agenda. I do not understand how he was able to get this job. My eldest son went here and he has only positive things to say with high marks as one of his memorable schooling experiences. Not so with my current son enrolled and experienced these issues in the past year.Parent Review2y ago - Prince Jonah Kuhio Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am really pleased with Prince Kuhio Elementary School. My daughters really thrive from their experiences there. I am shocked at the low rating. The test scores are not the only indicator of success. My daughters have actually scored higher since attending Kuhio Elementary and I think the teachers and administrators deserve a lot of credit for making school fun and engaging for the keiki.Parent Review8mo ago - Kaimuki High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a small school, that tries its best. The student population is known by all the staff, and cared for deeply. The school is like a family that looks after each other.I would recommend Kaimuki High School to anyone who is not only lives in the neighborhood, but to people who want to have their child have a more personalized education. Parent involvement is very welcome, and encouraged.Parent Review2y ago - Anuenue School

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over five years. It is decent. Best thing about it is its convenient, close to shopping areas, freeways, and eateries. It does have pockets of crime, but nothing you won’t find throughout the island. I can’t see myself living anywhere outside of town."

"Too many homeless people make it impossible to have bbq at the stadium park. Location is not as good as before. Police has no control regarding the menacing act of homeless people in our area."
