5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStrong emphasis on academics, many AP offerings for juniors and seniors. The arts program is also strong with chorus, band, and theater involving a large percentage of the student body. Numerous awards for individual students and groups also won the past 2 years. SAT scores are equal to top Atlanta area schools. Sports surprisingly not emphasized. US News listed Rome as a top high school in America.Parent Review12y ago - Rome Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe faculty and staff of RMS run a tight ship, which is much needed structurally at this age. They push students to achieve more and exceed expectations. My child feels like the teachers genuinely care about him as a person as well as his academic success. As far as middle schools are concerned, I feel confident that my child will have a positive experience. Teachers work hard and are compassionate toward students. Expectations are clearly outlined from day one, and students are given multiple chances to complete assignments and succeed. RMS also has strong extracurricular programs. Show choir, band, and chorus are incredible. There are 200+ students in band and in chorus. Sports teams are competitive with same-size middle schools and often come out on top. My child states that he likes middle school much better than elementary school, and he had a positive experience there as well.Parent Review9y ago - West End Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNow that the last school has finally sent the records for my boys I hope that we can work together and help get the boys where they need to be. The teachers and staff along with us have many things that we need to do for the boys. I believe they are doing their best just as I am as a mother. As long as we communicate regularly regarding what they need I can’t ask for more. If I rated 1 out of 10 with 10 being the best I would say a solid 8. We are new so I will rate again after Christmas break and since we are off to a pretty good start compared to the last school I’m optimistic that it will go up!Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 2628 Garden Lakes Blvd NW.

"The local community is very close knit and continually looking out for each other. Yet not to the extreme of being in each other’s business too much. Local public transit is certainly in need of improvement. The area is for the most part very well maintained and has a nice visual appeal and cleanliness. A fair amount of variety in regards to activities, shopping and dining. "
