I went to this school and anyone who stepped in will never leave the same. The teaching style is horrible, when kids have a situation it takes forever for staff to respond, the food has caused multiple kids to get sick, there are flies nats, roaches, centipedes all over the school, the school is never clean, there are multiple fights and the school still needs to be updated since there is a whole hallway cut off due to how old and outdated it is.

Dacula Elementary is awful. Anything bad happens to your kids here they will try to cover it up. I bumped into another family whose daughter went through the exact same thing we have with Dacula Elementary, at the playground one day. It is sad that Gwinnett continues to employ Administrators who are so willing to break the law.

This school has several critical issues that urgently need addressing. First, the “Dacula Way” unnecessarily wastes students’ valuable time. Despite maintaining an average of 95, I am placed in classes alongside students who struggle with even basic concepts, solely because my English isn’t perfect. As anyone attending this school knows, over half of the students regularly engage in cheating on tests, yet most teachers either ignore it or simply don’t care enough to address the issue.Furthermore, this school provides no effective preparation for the SAT. Teachers merely follow scripted answers and explanations, demonstrating no genuine interest in actually improving students’ SAT scores. If you are seriously preparing for the SAT, this school is absolutely not the place for you. Teachers prioritize boosting class averages over genuinely supporting students’ academic growth. Often, they even post crucial information and answers online during unit tests to minimize their workload.The real tragedy at this school is that honest, hardworking students suffer unfairly due to widespread cheating. I spend hours studying every day for biology, chemistry, and other classes, yet seeing my efforts equated with those who cheat is incredibly insulting. Imagine your own child diligently working to earn an A, only to find their results matched or surpassed by dishonest peers. Consider how demoralizing it would be to see your child treated equally—or even worse—than students who achieve their grades through cheating.Dacula teachers and administrators, please listen closely: you are directly contributing to this school’s decline. Instead of addressing serious issues like academic dishonesty, you waste students’ precious time by unnecessarily extending lunch periods and changing cafeteria systems that result in overcrowding and insufficient seating. Ironically, if you are a student who cheats and enjoys wasting time, this school might be perfect for you.America’s decline begins with small but significant failures like these. Dacula High School’s administration and teaching staff urgently need to change their approach and prioritize genuine student development. It is time to wake up—this is the 21st century.
