9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSouth Forsyth High School parking is a wild wild wild west and a jungle without any school personal guidance and order.One time, I came to school to pick up my kid, and there was another parent who had the kid in his car, he was driving in the wrong lane and drove towards the coming traffic!!Today (Dec 15), it is an early release day. Many of the parents came to the parking lot to pick up their kids. Most of them found a parking and parked. Then there are some of the parents who decided they don't park, rather just stop in the driving lane and wait for their kids. So there was a car line formed between the parking lot on both sides. Once the kids were released from the classrooms, and the parking lot was a jungle, no one could drive out. I know there is an assistant principal who manages the parking. However, no school personnel tells these parents that they can't stop right in the middle of the parking lot. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has good physical infrastructure but needs to do more in academics. Eg. There are hardly any competitions that Haw creek encourages. We enquired the Math teacher about Math Kangaroo and she was not aware of any such competition. Teachers need to encourage students to participate in Math and science competitions / project work and the school should actively sponsor such competitions. Students should be provided with Laptops/ Tablets by default. The apps which the school district has subscribed to are pretty average.
