Description

This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from February 27, 2024
A GREAT FAMILY HOME has hit the market perfect for the family looking to resettle in Florida where we are living life and our children are in school five days a week. Located in the subdivision of Chestnut Creek you will be led to this home by a street crowned by a gorgeous canopy of trees. This home which was the model home that drove all sales for this now long established community known as the Estates is one of the largest homes in Chestnut Creek. It has 2709 s.f under air and the total living area under roof including the deck and pool area is a huge 3663 s.f. Plants and flowers line the front walkway to a screened-in entranceway with double doors. You enter into a foyer that leads to a large living room and spacious dining room with glistening tiled floors and a view that overlooks the expansive deck area and an oversize heated pool 8 feet deep so the little ones can “cannonball” away. The view continues beyond the pool with the sight of a restful meandering pond where nature is alive with a flourish of ducks, cranes and all kinds of birds and wildlife. It is where fish jump 3 feet high and catch and release fishing is allowed. Getting the children out to school will be a breeze in the huge eat-in kitchen which overlooks a huge Family/TV Room and Dining Area. And the kids won’t have a long walk to the bus stop for it is only 3 houses to the corner for pickup for all grade levels including high school. The one-of-a-kind sea coral wall with a set-in fireplace adds a special ambiance to the Family Room. Mom, your kids have a separate room for their TV and gaming in addition to their bedrooms. The layout is a split so you, Mom, and Dad will get the well-deserved privacy and peace in the oversized Master Bedroom with a private sitting room or office, plus an ensuite bathroom that includes a large walk-in shower and oversized tub. Also spacious his and hers walk-in closets top off the Master Bedroom Suite. The other two bedrooms one which is now used as an office are privately situated on the other side of the house and are bigger than normal with each having a walk-in closet. These bedrooms are adjacent to a bathroom with a walk-in shower plus a second door that leads outside to the pool area so all the swimmers can use the bathroom without soaking the your home. A sliding door closes off these rooms from the main part of the house so the children or guest can have their own private space too. Or, for a completely alternative purpose, these rooms could serve as an in-law suite. This home is all about the family and the great life and times that can be had living in it.

"The EastGate neighborhood is a hidden gem. There are a number of nice, older homes on good-sized lots, with many being upgraded with every new owner or already renovated. There are also many future opportunities as you look around. It's a perfect location between historic downtown Venice on the Island, and east to I-75 and the new areas being built out there. There's a Publix a block over and Venice Avenue isn't as busy as Route 41. Even with all the growth and new development, this part of Venice remains low-key and very pleasant. The homes here are a good value for the money and worth either buying and renovating, or buying an upgraded one. One of the best areas in the city that is not on the island, and my family has been here since the early 90s."

"A piece of paradise. Everything is in walking and biking distance. The island has everything from parks, local restaurants, beaches, the jetty, festivals, a library, an art center, a local museum, city basketball, tennis, pickleball, and shuffleboard courts, a children's splash pad, churches, a hospital, and a grocery store. It also has and elementary, middle, and high school where kids can bike to school. At the downtown gazebo there are public concerts and there are often downtown festivals. Every Saturday there's a farmer's market in front of the firehouse. It's golf cart and bike friendly with the famous legacy trail bike trail. You can visit the public beaches, fish from the city pier or jetty, or venture out for an isolated stroll along Casperson's beach, known as the shark's tooth capital of the world. Botique shops, ice cream shops, and local restraunts provide plenty to do year round. Perfect for families or retires. "
