6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughters love this school! As a Christian mom I was wary about putting them into this school, but they are thriving here. There are lots of extra classes. Both of my daughters are taking a cooking class this semester. I’m very glad I made the decision to put them in this school. Compared to a lot of public and even private schools in the area it’s incredibly enriching and inclusive of my beliefs.Parent Review1y ago - S. S. Dixon Intermediate School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHi! Student who is graduating very soon, meaning that I have 3 years of experience. Now, if you're looking up these reviews because you're nervous about your first year or a concerned parent, don't worry *too* much. Teachers are fine (PLEASE DO NOT ENTER ADVANCED SCIENCE FOR 8TH GRADE IF YOU ARE NOT IN ADVANCED MATH CLASSES, I may be the few exceptions but so far its been the hardest class, being the only B i've gotten so far this year.Kids are in extreme cliches, which should be expected for a middle school except that it always felt like it was me against the entire school. If you aren't pretty/interesting/talk to people often/probably dont have mental illnesses you *will* be ostracized and talked about behind your back. Always behind your back because if they say something mean to your face you can report them. If you aren't favorited in the eyes of the teachers or have connections, probably never gonna get solved or even thought about. Please only pick PE as an elective for one or two years, chose DIT if you haven't already so you can do fun stuff in highschool. The coaches are not horrible but they do kind of pick on kids who are usually there just to have a "free" period, and all the super athletic kids are jerks. Warning! Not many elective choices. I recommend clubs (not like i participated in any because of my nonexistent social life hahaha) for your source of fun in school rather than electives. So basically, if you don't have a social life of some kind or you're considered weird (hey! if you're feeling like this I recommend searching up something called "neurodivergence"! might help you find your place in this terrible world ;) you're not gonna have the worst time but it isn't fun or mentally healthy for three years. If you have some friends, general interests and look decent then yeah. Knock yourself out I guess, do whatever.Kids may be different in the future because I feel like my wave was the last of my generation and the younger kids just...feel different. Have fun or not, and you'll be seeing me on GreatSchools again when I review Pace High School lol. (please dont be worse)Student Review1y ago - Santa Rosa Virtual Franchise

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCons: This school is not for someone looking for any "easy out" of the traditional brick and mortar school. The coursework is very time consuming. Many typical daily assignments in the virtual school would be broken down and completed as multiple assignments over weeks at a traditional school. The virtual school also expects the student to have a firm handle on all basic computer programs; including Powerpoint presentations, Excel, Word processing, emailing, submitting audio files, digital files, etc. For someone just starting out, the time it takes to learn the programs and processes of submitting work via the internet has to be accounted for. This is my son's first year at the school and he has learned both subject material and computing skills. Pros: The system keeps parents aware of what is going on with the student and in a very timely manner. All teachers are quick to respond, and test & assignments are graded and recorded within hours (sometimes minutes) of submittal. - The curriculum is engaging and thorough. - Classwork is extremely portable and accessible at anytime.Parent Review10y ago - Santa Rosa Online Virtual Instruction Program

"my neighborhood has great access to a major highway which is well-constructed and mail well-maintained also very well patrolled by state troopers. road ranger availability is good if you should have a problem. the only negative is that if there is a wreck time to clear the road seems extended and traffic backs up for miles and miles since exits are so far apart. "The schools are great, and the neighbors lookout for each other in Sundial Estates/Windsor Villas. The Bagdad post office is the friendliest, most helpful post office in the county. The are building a really nice park in phases at the Bagdad mill site (with separate boat and kayak launches, and a dock for fishing). Bagdad has the lowest taxes. "
