6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have transferred my children from Somerset Parkland Academy, a charter school to CSMS, a public school. One child is gifted and other has 504, both are doing well. This school is geared towards serving all kinds of students whether they are from privileged or underprivileged background, high achievers or kids with mild learning disabilities. Teachers are very competent (compared to Somerset Parkland Academy). There are various clubs like Robotics, Mathclub, Art, Band etc. for children to vent their creativity. The counselor is professional and knows how much student can handle, how much parental support is there etc. Principal is also sensitive and truly cares about welfare of the students. I see that teachers are willing to work with your child and parent. We are brown and my children were bullied at Somerset Parkland academy which is dominated by affluent white brats so we transferred here. Regarding Somerset Parkland, only their building and teachers look beautiful, but the school is a real mess..LOL. Teachers keep leaving and there is just one counsellor for over 800 students! (true joke) . She prevented our children from advancing but always made it look like an oversite. SPA is partial and racist school. When I transferred to CSMS the counsellor let our children take high school courses and showed lot of flexibility so that kids get courses they want. Truly grateful to be in CSMS. Just make sure that your child gets into an advanced class.Parent Review3mo ago - Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated from MSDHS in 2023 and my daughter is now in 10th grade at this school. Both of my kids have been doing well here and have been challenged taking AP classes. I feel like they are getting a good education. We were initially disappointed that the Cambridge program was not offered at this school, but it will now be offered starting in the 2024/25 school year, which is great for new students. I did have one instance where a teacher was trying to influence the class with their personal political beliefs, which I didn't appreciate. My daughter and son both told me that teachers brought up personal political stances in the classroom. In my opinion, that needs to stay out of the classroom. This is my only complaint. This school and Broward county are very communicative with parents, which is great and much appreciated. I do feel that MSDHS prepares kids for college well and they do offer after school learning if students need it. My son took advantage of several after school SAT learning sessions that really helped his score. I recommend this school and it's a great area to live.Parent Review2mo ago - Eagle Ridge Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe used to love ERE but since the new admin Principal and her AP we had to leave. While they present themselves professionally, their focus seems to be more on their appearance than building connections with students and parents. Unfortunately, this has created a disconnect and lack of community within the school. Parents are eager to leave the school as soon as possible, which speaks volumes about the leadership. As a principal and assistant principal, building relationships and fostering a positive environment should be a priority. Unfortunately ERE falls short in this regard.Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 11412 NW 48th Ct.

"In my neighborhood, It is definitely dog friendly with no shortage of dog parks and beautiful areas to take your dog on nice long walks . Lots of trees & shaded areas I’d say 90% of the people follow the rules or dog laws ,leash laws & most people pick up after their dogs . However there’s always those few that do not . "
