3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot emphasize enough how terrible my experience at Bloomfield High School was. From the outdated textbooks to the indifferent teachers, everything about this school screams incompetence. The facilities are dilapidated, with leaking ceilings and broken desks. The cafeteria food is barely edible, and the bathrooms are unsanitary, with malfunctioning toilets and a pervasive stench. Bullying is rampant, and the administration turns a blind eye to it. Academic standards are shockingly low, with no emphasis on critical thinking or real-world skills. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMr Guzzo has been doing a marvelous job as the new principal. Parents are kept in the loop as far as school developments and academics. He has a genuine passion for his role and it exudes to the wider school body. With positivity comes success and I can certainly see the improvements so far. My son has been fortunate as well to have some of the beat teachers and now completing his final year at Metacomet and I know we’ll miss the school when it’s time to move on.
