8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSand Creek has an extremely supportive administration, teachers who care about the students and an extremely involved parent community. Our students have grown significantly since enrolling in Sand Creek. I am also impressed that Sand Creek is the only school in Douglas County that has earned the No Place for Hate recognition. It is a great neighborhood school that values the whole child!Parent Review6y ago - Mountain Ridge Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe experience at this school was disappointing. If you have a child with disabilities or health challenges, the staff will treat them poorly. The PE teacher would send my child that was using a wheelchair to the office for PE instead of trying to include them. Staff would tell my student to find all assignments on their websites if they missed a day. There was never anything on their websites. None of the staff would adhere to IEP accommodations. We moved to a much better school since fighting these people was worthless. No wonder DCSD continues to get sued for their treatment of special needs students. The staff at MRMS just didn't care. Plus, the parking lot was designed by a sadist. Drop off and pickup is a huge mess.Parent Review8mo ago - Mountain Vista High School

"Not easy at all - walk to bus stop then bus to train ... impossible in bad weather ... traffic is bad a lot and stop lights are three minutes in some places!!"
- Chelseasihpol

"It’s a cookie-cutter suburb. The town is pretty safe and secure with a few exceptions. Recently there have been car break-ins and package theft but those crimes have mostly been committed by people who live in other towns coming in. There is a scenic spot right up the road. There are plenty of shops and stores but it doesn’t feel overcrowded. People aren’t always the friendliest, but there are A LOT of families who live here. It’s a decent place to grow up. It’s clean and really pretty. "

"This neighborhood is so quiet, established, safe, and traditional. We love raising our family near such great schools, the rec center, historic cheese ranch park, and other educated families. Gorgeous tree-lined streets and well maintained homes really make a difference. After searching the Denver area, we are so glad we found this special pocket!"
