5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have no idea how it is nowadays, but even in the 90s it wasn't too great. I attended most of my high school years here and I wanted to leave in 10th due to bullying and some other stuff going on at the time. I stuck it out (still had the same bully for 2 more years) . I had a great group of friends and that helped a lot. I also had some really great teachers. My freshman year was a rough start and 10th wasn't much better, but I kept it together and finished HS strong. I really hope it hasn't totally tanked 20 years laterOther Review1y ago - La Contenta Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagehonestly I have had my children enrolled in one of thetop schools/district in California. Naturally I was conflicted with sending my kids to a school in this area. I could not see a school being anything but garbage being out here.I am here to tell you landers elementary and its staff completely changed my impression of the school. I can safely say this is the best school my children have attended. they love the school as do mom and myself too. they work so hard to get the families involved often with after school events or reaching out to parents. great school for you children to learn and grow inParent Review3y ago - Preschool

"Well there are lots of dogs. Lots of dog friends but lots of dog barks. Fenced yards but need extra fencing for little dogs. "

"Yes, within walking distance, however, not well street lighted. More lightning on very long and dark streets. Sidewalks would be an improvement, one doesn’t have to walk in the streets or along the highway in town."

"The yucca valley area is a great place to live if you don’t mind wide open spaces and driving to conveniences. If you need convenience, you can live closer to town center, but it is unsafe and there is a lot of theft, drugs and other crimes."
