3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI want to send my gratitude to Quandale and the amazing school and staff he has put together. My child had the pleasure of having Mr. Kumalala and Mr. Savesta and they have really impacted his life and he has had great things to say about them. I have also heard good things about Mr. Chesta whom my child has not had the pleasure of having. Overall, Mr Dingle and his amazing staff have really had an impact on my family.Parent Review1y ago - Lee Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enjoyed being a student here. I, however, was only involved in advanced, high level, or AP courses, so my interactions with student and teachers involved in lower-level coursework were limited to very few classes or sports activities. My couches were dedicated and exceptional; one of my mile relay teammates for track went on to run for UCLA. I myself was incredibly effected by Mr. Miles and Mr. Brink a few years ago, which led to me working hard (albeit not as hard as I may have) and going on to attend UCLA.Overall, the faculty not involved in AVID or advanced classes were coarse, often rude, or beat-down by their inappropriate and rude students, and as a result were unwelcoming and uninspiring to myself as a self motivated individual -- I can only imagine if I were not so. On the flip side, administration and most of the faculty that were involved in advanced work were exceptional and kept me working towards my goal of higher education. The involvement of UCD, at least during my time as a student, was also unparalleled. Through The Seed, the learning center, UCD Math Circle (which was promoted by WHS faculty), and TANA (a free UCD-supported community art-making warehouse), I grew as both a student and as an individual.I believe that Woodland High School has leaps and bounds to make, but for those who are dedicated to its student and its growth as a learning community, do not falter in your efforts to help WHS succeed. I am but one success story that has come from those walls, and there have been and will be many more to come.Thank you for all that you have done.- S, c.o. 2014Student Review7y ago - Check out schools near 504 Walnut St.

"I-5 runs right through the town, 10 miles west of Sacramento Int’l Airport. It’s the last substantial town until Redding on I-5. Convenient to drive to Sacramento (20 minutes) with no traffic. 113 takes you straight to Davis (8 miles south) and I-80 to the SF Bay Area (70 miles west)"

"Just moved here I have worked here though. No idea what parents should know. Parts are friendly but not all parts. I am hoping my new neighbors are nice and will at least acknowledge my presence. I hate when people look the other way when I pass by them."

"Established older homes which are gorgeous! I love how many retirees are out gardening and walking around during the daytime. The younger families are more active after working hours but overall a quiet area which is safer than it can look depending on foot traffic. "

"We live here, and find it a mostly-pleasant neighborhood. Residents are quiet, and include elderly as well as families with children. On our end of the street there is an attractive senior complex which is an asset, because it is kept safe and clean. On the east side of West Street, there are some beautiful old homes, all in very good condition. My only complaint about this area is noise. Being just a couple blocks from the high school, we endure a lot of traffic on California Street and on West Street, particularly at the beginning and end of the school day. Also, we hear every event held outdoors at the high school, such as rallies, sports events, and graduations. This would be an ideal location for a family with kids and/or pets."
