6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI absolutely loved taking my son here. One of the hardest things about moving out of state was having to leave KTL! The teachers are fantastic - they clearly care about their students, are enthusiastic about teaching, and are deeply invested in the school. They offer a one day or 3 1/2 day option, and the curriculum they use is easy for both the parents and students to grasp. My son excelled the two years he was here, both with school work and with making friends. It's obvious every school day that this is a school where children thrive; bullying is nonexistent here. It being a smaller school, there is one class of each grade, so as each class moves up, they develop relationships with all of the teachers in the school. My son would give hugs to teachers who knew him by name that he hadn't even had yet! The office staff are wonderful, and the advisors - should you take the one day a week route - are knowledgeable and very helpful on ways to teach your children. If you are considering this school and blessed enough to have the time to oversee your child's education, KTL is a great school. I chose it because it had the benefits of a school setting, lasting friendships - with equally dedicated parents, a great education. I also chose this school because it lacked what standard schools sport as a standard now - bullying problems, large class sizes, and teachers who got into teaching as an "easy" job that gave weekends, holidays and summers off. I really, really loved this school, and I am really sorry that we can't attend next year.Parent Review5y ago - Barbara Spratling Middle School
