It reflects the larger stigma that the community in Santa Rosa has about the school, which is exaggerated, hyperbolized, and is based on elements of classicism and racism. The school is full of compassionate staff and students, and has a lot to offer its population. If fights at the school are the primary rationale for its reputation, then every high school in the district should reviewed the same. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOnly giving one star because I can’t post this review without it .I am a current parent of a student at JX Wilson elementary. And let me just say this has been the worst experience of an elementary school that I’ve ever had the principal Corrina Rice is very into favoritism and accusing one family of things yet not the other for whatever reason I am now having to transfer my daughter to a different school because of said favoritism. I highly don’t recommend the school as there is also a very prominent bullying environment. I dealt with it when I personally was a student, and now my daughter is having to deal with it as well, and nothing comes of it as far as discipline towards the other parties involved. My child somehow always ends up blamed. Shame on Corrina Rice as a principal and shame on the school district for not getting rid of such a horrible principle, that doesn’t do anything I will definitely be telling people not to enroll their children in to this joke of an elementary school.Parent Review1y ago

"The neighborhood is great, but the number of young families is diminishing. Cost of housing is too high for most young families. This is not good for sustaining good elementary schools and child-friendly spaces. Hope things turn around quickly or this area will be a 55+ community soon."

"Our area is nice, pretty clean and good schools. We had fires 5 years ago, the likelihood of it happening here again is pretty slim. Excellent grocery store, an a few restaurants and good stores. We have lived here for about 7 years. We have no desire to move. Also it easy access to freeway and shopping centers. And hospital and medical clinics. Farmers markets every Wednesday and Saturday. Excellent area for families and friends. 100 words are hard to come up with."

"The neighborhood is call and overall pretty peaceful which is a delight with it basically being right down town. Living this close to the fire station, evacuations center, and the police station also is great when it comes to power outages. We never get shut off."
