Description
This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from September 16, 2021
Welcome to this turn-of-the-century English Cottage in Riverside's Evergreen Quarter Historic District. This home has been lovingly restored over the last 12 years and many parts of the home were quite literally re-built from the ground up. My favorite aspect of this home is the cohesive design. The original features are still in tact with the home's quaint front porch, shaded by mature trees, restored wood siding and steeply pitched roof. All of the bathrooms have been restored with period correct fixtures and design choices and the kitchen will please even the most fastidious historic home buyer. There are three bedrooms, one of which is located on the first level adjacent a full bath. On the second level there are two more bedrooms that share a Jack and Jill bathroom and also a large sun room with its row of windows overlooking the backyard. The yard is landscaped beautifully and features a large shady tree and custom built aluma-wood patio. This home is walking distance to the many bars and restaurants in Downtown Riverside as well as the popular trails up Mount Rubidoux but you're likely to enjoy simply walking around this historic neighborhood and the many beautiful homes that can be found here.

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school changed a lot in recent years. I know that the pandemic affected many schools. I heard that after schools reopened this school lost almost 40% of their student body. Before the pandemic there were a lot of community activities (after school classes, Friday events that included parents, and musical performances). Those have all stopped during the past few years (2021-2023). I understand it is hard to ramp those things back up. More concerning to me is that my child’s classroom this past year seemed pretty out of control. She would tell me stories about kids who were acting out, cursing out the principal and things like that. Again, I realize that some of these might be global problems due to schools closing and causing developmental problems for kids. But overall, it seems like a different school than it was 5 years ago.Parent Review8mo ago - Central Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll around good school. Communication from staff could be better and the counselors office def needs improvement working w/ parents and students but I’d want my kids going here over any other school in the district even though they don’t really offer the same advantage like the IB program North does that my son was invited to or the engineering program King offers, considering what problems those schools have as well I find POLY a more balanced choice.Parent Review2y ago - Riverside Virtual

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's unfortunate that the school rating isn't higher. I have been attending RVS since the beginning of middle school, and will now be graduating in 2017. This program has provided me with new and different opportunities to expand my knowledge. All of my teachers put in effort to aid me in achieving my educational and personal goals. With the help of AVID, I have build new skills and got accepted to my #1 choice university. I'm proud to be a student at RVS.Student Review7y ago - Riverside Stem Academy

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student that is in 7th, I have a lot to say. The school can be a little intimidating once you are new, but if you are friendly and talk to people you find nice, you will feel more confident there. However, there are a few issues of drama since there are a few bullies that occasionally harass you, but if you find a way to make peace and chill a little, they can be pretty nice and smart. The staff is nice and the teachers are very kind and will help you with anything. I have been going here since 5th and overall, everyone can be nice if you can stay on their good side.Student Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 4251 11th St.

"I've lived in quite a few cities in SoCal and this neighborhood is the best experience I've had. I moved here with my young son in 2018 and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. Not only is the scenery beautiful but it's family oriented, safe to walk at night, and the schools are amazing. the homes are vintage and have won Neighborhood of the Year many times. I am happy to call Downtown Riverside my home. "

"Walking distance from Downtown Riverside; location of mission inn antique stores resturance bars and coffee houses. Also very close to unique and artistic park where you could walk to Rubidoux Mountain. R'mountain is a grate place to hike many go up for a nice fresh view up the mountain to see the city lights and unique view. And if your not a walker you could always go though the Santana Bike trail and test your self how far you could go. It's an active location and could always find something to do; with friendly a neighborhood everybody is welcomed "
