5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school was amazing and it shows in the fact that only 2% of teachers are first year which means one in fifty. If you look at the other reviews, the one star reviews are written by parents who have never actually taken a class there. The school has an active community service club that actually helps the community and has another community service club that helps those with special needs and raises awareness. In fact the California scholarship federation did a joint project with the other two community service clubs to bring up issues regarding special needs students at the district board meeting. Some of the parents are talking about "safety issues" but i have never had a problem with this. In fact many students are actively protective of each other including those that they don't know. I currently go to the 26th best high school in texas but i much rather prefer la sierra high school as the people understand what hardship is. People are cognizant of what society means and how it supports the individual which is in direct contrast with my current school. The best part is that the "bad apples" want nothing to do with the "smart people" so it provides a social barrier.Student Review9y ago - Valley View Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a joke, you ask for information about your son and they do not give it to you, they do not have supervision for the children and they leave the school open, anyone can walk in or out. The teacher does not have the capacity since they put 32 students per classroom, not 22. They should hire more staff and train the ones they have. The teacher who is assigned to my child does not provide me with the information I request and she only puts me off. She is completely incompetent. I don’t completely blame her as the entire school seems to have an extremely low standard. The curriculum is not specific at all based on what we saw at open house nor are the homework assignments. They do not appear to challenge themselves nor the students and is a perfect combination for failure of your kids being severely left behind compared to the national standardParent Review1y ago - Ysmael Villegas Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are great, leadership probably has their hands tied because the bullying is like nothing my family has ever experienced before. We have been very proactive yet the school just keeps saying the bullies are on a discipline plan. The plans obviously don't work and it's going to take something really drastic for this school to have effective changes.Parent Review5y ago - Check out schools near 11762 Hazeldell Dr.

"There is room to walk the dogs, especially in residential areas. I would say that we do not really have dog parks but there are some parks that you can enjoy on leash. I have been uncomfortable a few times walking the dog when other neighbors are walking off-leash."

"This area is a mix of mainly residential and some small businesses with a sprinkle of big corporate grocery stores and gas stations. Most people seem to keep to themselves except for the occasional neighbors that go out of their way to be extra neighborly like Ned Flanders "
- Arianakvaldez

"There is a growing homeless population. The area is not bad, and the homeless people seem to be harmless, but at least near the hills and freeway one will see a lot of homeless people. Inside the actual residential neighborhoods it doesn’t seem so bad. "

"Beautiful, pride of ownership, near all amenities, schools, and freeway. Amazingly quiet. Lots of places to walk and eat nearby. Many parks including nice dog park."
