6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSequoia High school is a beautiful campus but needs a change in its educational system. It's unsafe, and the curriculum is very limited. My daughter was a student of this school and couldn't graduate because the classrooms were a mess. I have relatives in Arizona, and they tell me how well-structured the HS is in their cities. I feel jealous of my relatives because we don't have better schools in the Bay area, and of course, I can't afford private schools.Parent Review1y ago - Woodside High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is a Junior at WHS. She has had wonderful, engaging, well educated teachers thus far. The principal is phenomenal- very communicative with families and has set a positive and supportive tone in the school. There are many built-in supports for struggling students. The school draws from a very diverse socio-economic area, and it does a good job at meeting a variety of needs. The school guidance counselors are amazing---helping students plan their journey through high school and beyond. There are plentiful offerings for elective courses, and many ways to get involved in sports/music/theater/leadership/clubs, etc. Overall, great school!Parent Review10mo ago - Roosevelt Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kid is loving school and that's all I really cares about. His teachers are kind and caring and while Roosevelt might not be the most academically rigorous, he's learning to love learning, which I think is more valuable. His class is racially and socioeconomically diverse, which has taught him the value of difference and flexibility. I couldn't imagine a better place for my kid than Roosevelt.Parent Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 1165 Fairview Ave.

"My neighborhood is easy to get through but other parts of Redwood City has lots of traffic. My drive home at night from another side of Redwood City is 30 minutes without ever getting on the freeway. "

"I have lived on my street 12 years and love this neighborhood. Great friends and neighbors. Close to Red Morton Park, walking distance to Key Market, Summit Coffee and a great sushi spot to remain nameless though walking distance from home... "

"We have been living here for the last couple years. I walk to the store or the park (in the summer) at night without any problems. Truman is a roomy street, and most cars are parked in their own driveways so it is very pleasant to walk on the tree lined street. There are a couple coffee shops, and an ice cream shop at a short walking distance, a grocery store and drug store. Area is flat so it is great for biking and the Red Morton Park and Recreation is only a couple blocks away. Schools are close by as well. Area is well served with public transportation and its very easy to get on 280. Neighbors are a mix of young families and retirees in their mid 50's. We never hear loud parties or the like and everyone is respectful of their neighbor's privacy. I am very happy with my location choice and highly recommend it. "

"House needed lots of work and had to be completely renovated. However all the fatigue that came with renovation was rewarded by realizing how awesome this neighborhood is. Most homes are owner occupied, which translates in great property care. Street is wide, clean and quiet, neighbors attentive and active, school and kids great, stores and restaurants at walking distance. We are enjoying it very much"
