Overall this school was enjoyable. However, my time at this school wasn't the best. I was bullied from 1st through 3rd grade and the situation was handled very poorly. Many fights and arguments broke out and those too we not handled correctly. I loved most of my teachers but there were times when I was confused that they were happy they won an argument with an 8-year-old. Educational-wise, it was okay. Once I entered Middle School, I had trouble catching up with eh rest of the kids because there were many things this school did not teach me in all subjects. Yet, creativity-wise, the school is off the charts! This school let me express myself in a way I didn't even know I could. They also are/were eager to do arts&crafts projects and in general loved the arts. I recommend this school if you are looking to do a lot of art but if you feel like you want to be at the same level as other schools please do.

Our daughter attended YVHS all four years of high school, graduated in 2020 and is now attending UC Berkeley. Our son is a junior at YV on the Engineering pathway. Both have had excellent teachers, made friends and experienced cultural diversity. YV is a big family, working together for student success. 10/10 is our rating.

This school is awful. the kids vape in the bathrooms. it's falling apart. I was in gym class and a LIGHT fell from the ceiling that could've totally crushed a kid. the teachers are rude, and the ones that aren't usually leave because who wouldn't? the kids don't want to be there, the teachers don't want to be there, and it was genuinely just a horrible place. i was there for two years and now i have severe depression and anxiety. don't send your kids here.Had to DROP OUT it was so awful. They didn't treat my father like an equal parent, even though i told them so many times that custody was 50/50. Wouldn't call him despite me telling them to, and didn't even have his contact info even though he gave it multiple times!
