9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is great, although is does sometimes have a hard time dealing with student problems; ie, bullying. Most of the teachers are spectacular (Would highly recommend Shultz for first grade, Kelly for second, and Puranik for fifth) (Sorry If I spelled their names incorrectly). I learned a lot in this elementary school (I was here 1st through 5th). Your child should enjoy going here, and it was easy to make friends. They school has a vast emphasis on inclusion, respect, and perseverance. They teachers will always set aside time to help your child if he/she is struggling on a certain field. The only thing about this school that I did not like was the fact that they take safety seriously, a little too serious. (Don't get me wrong safety is important but it got to the point where it was ridiculous.) The school is very social and inclusive, your kid will make friends here in no time. They school offers a lunch system called choice lunch or you can bring your own. I have seen how they handle school during COVID, they do a pretty good job, sanitizing and all. This school really helped me grow as a kid and I learned many skills that I am still using today. Some awesome projects we did were making the maps of the exploration of California and National Park projects in 3rd grade, the Spanish Missionaries model project in 4th grade, and the restaurant/food truck math project in 5th grade. The best field trip is the 4th grade three day overnight stay at Malakoff Diggings. You learn about mining and take cool hikes on that trip. This school was spectacular and I would highly recommend it for your kid to grow their character and grow in academics.Other Review3y ago - Miramonte High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school, great teachers, and a wonderful principal. Yes everyone has gone to school together since they were younger and may not be so welcoming, specially the girls. But that does not make the school a bad school. You will find that type of behavior at almost any high school.Parent Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 16 El Verano.

"No sidewalks makes it tough to get out with little kids and even bigger kids riding bikes is difficult. In general super safe, the roads are narrow and very curvy probably the least safe thing for kids is walking to and from the bus stop. "

"Lived here for 37 years, went to high school here in the 60s. It’s safe, beautiful hills and oak trees, good restaurants, close to many cultural opportunities. "

"25 years in this community. Deer and raccoons drink from my pool. I have no concern leaving my doors unlocked.....though I don’t as a precaution."

"Lived here for 12 years now. We love Orinda's almost rural feeling, with great access to BART and therefore San Francisco, Oakland, and everywhere else it goes to. Families in our neighborhood tend to stay put. Some homes are occupied by 2nd generations, and the couple 3 doors down form us have been there since the 1950s. Very peaceful, quiet, safe."

"It’s beautiful, quiet, and private. I’ve lived here for about 20 years. The houses are all unique and gorgeous. There are lots of trees, you almost feel like you’re living out in the country instead of in the middle of a sprawling metropolitan area, just on the other side of the Caldecott tunnel from Oakland. While you definitely can’t walk to the grocery store, Safeway is a pretty close drive and there are shops and restaurants right at the bottom of the hill. My favorite part of living here is close proximity to grizzly peak and Tilden and Sibley parks. The steam trains and merry-go-round are fantastic for young children, and there are excellent hiking trails with views of the bay. "

"Semi-rural ambiance, convenient location for shopping and public transportation, friendly and super safe .... hard-to-beat by any standard."
