5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to this school for 7th and 8th grades. She absolutely loved it! The growth I saw in my child academically and emotionally outweighed any concerns I may have had when we first started with this school. 8th grade was specially great! Mr. Cooper, Mr. Bromfield, Mr. Hart, and Mr. Church pushed my child to excellence. She went from thinking she was a B student to an "A" student. The principal, Mr. Ferguson is very supportive and hands on with students.Parent Review12y ago - Joe Stefani

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is by far worst from what my friends tell me. How does a third grader struggle to learn when the teachers don't teach them the correct way. Using too much technology to make their life easier isn't helping the kids. They don't even know how to use a dictionary book. Their homework is always a struggle for them because they're not taught how to do the homework. It's like throwing things at kids and expect them to learn. The office staffs are so inattentive and rude. Parking lot is chaotic when picking up the kids. Some teachers gives you an attitude when you go pick up your kids. Everyone seems rushed to go home and I feel like the school is all about getting money instead of improving it. No wonder California ranks the bottom in education, no one cares anymore.Parent Review4y ago - El Capitan High

"Merced i actually a pretty alright city to live in. There isn't a lot of social sites or things to do but the city is definitely growing and expanding into a nice place. The crime and violence has significantly decreased through out the passing years and the school all seem to do a great job with our education. It's definitely a much cleaner and nicer city than nearby areas like Fresno or Modesto. "
