"The neighborhood is quiet, dog friendly and the neighbors are friendly and polite. Lawns are manicured and houses well kept. "
  • Armaniday93
"I lived around the area it’s ok but need something a bit better and affordable and great for my self and children "
  • Trulia User
"the area has a lot of gang activity, car break in's, sketchy people, reckless drivers, homeless solicitors, no parking."
  • Trulia User
"it's an safe neighborhood to walk your dog and you don't have to worry about crime in the neighborhood it's very safe "
  • Trulia User
"I've lived here for about three years now.I like that I was only about a fifteen minute walk from the metro station and ten minutes or less from two major grocery stores. getting around and doing things was still pretty simple even before I got my car because of this. also there's great culture in the crenshaw and Leimert park area. music, food and black owned businesses are thriving here and I love the convenient location"
  • Trulia User
"I drive. It's FAIRLY close to major freeways, i.e. the 405, 10, and 110. Traffic is typical LA congested. Neighborhoods you have to drive through to get to the 110 and 10 freeways are frightening and leave you praying to God that you don't break down before getting on."
  • Trulia User
"I don’t know, I don’t know anyone with a dog around here. But people rarely pick up after their dogs"
  • Wayne P.
"Martin Luther King Parade Taste of Soul for every year in October expo rail Crenshaw Trail USC Coliseum Museum Sports Arena"
  • Elizabeth M.
"There’s MLK day parade and a African American cultural event at the Crenshaw Mall but it’s a big enough deal that there’s road closures, heavy traffic, loud music. I don’t know of any other events."
  • Rev. R. B.
"Dog owners would love the massive dog community to build relationships. You’re dog is not alone. Enjoy! "
  • Rev. R. B.
"Dog owners would like the friendly neighbors who have dogs for your dog to play with. Also, people clean up after there pets. "
  • Rev. R. B.
"Dog owners would like the friendly people who would love to say hello or play with your dog. Your dog will have lots of friends. "
  • Grisvasquez13
"Every couple of months there is an event hosted at the Jim Gilliam Park providing free products, necessities, and home accents for anyone who will stop by on time (they run out quickly). It's just nice to see the community help people who might be in need that extra help even if you don't need the extra help they still let anyone stop by."
  • DARVELL P.
"Access to public bus & rail lines are obvious & easy to pinpoint. Frequency intervals has improved greatly over the last 25 years that I’ve lived & been associated in the community"
  • L_garcia_84
"I just getting familiar with the place not looks clean not alot of parking. And close to shopping stores"
  • Estraadgarcia15
"It's the jungles your surroundings are mountains and theirs wild life that walks around at night like coyotes,Raccoons, foxes, possums, and exotic parrots and owls and that's what makes my nighberhood unique pretty cool."
  • Estraadgarcia15
"please if you live around this area never leave your guard down. the nighberhood may look peaceful and quite but it's still the hood no matter how much the city wants to clean it up. so just have some common sense and always keep your head on a swivel."
  • Joanne
"Friendly, accessible neighborhood. Close to everything. Quiet. Easy to park. Safe for me as a single woman. Couldn’t ask for better neighbors who all look out for each other."
  • Marcos E.
"It’s a grey place to live and a place I would live and stay again looking for a place around there that’s affordable "
  • Clara

"I've lived here for 5 years. it's a good neighborhood. the neighbors are friendly. I would definitely recommend others to move here"
  • Kelly
"Parking is so bad you have to park 3 blocks away down past the KFC. People fight over parking spots. There awesome ice creams trucks though"
  • Ninjadessie
"I hardly ever see kids out being kids playing in the neighborhood but the park is being reconstructed and seems like it will be a great place to take the little ones "
