7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoor communication and transparency. Summit intermediate administration failed to notify parents that they canceled their intramural sport after school program due to wind. Which is understandable. What’s not understandable is how they cannot send out an email or notice to parents. When they can send out an email for fundraisers and testing and everything else to parents throughout various hours of the day and night. I showed up to the school and not seeing my kids in the spot I pick them up in after intramural sports is heartbreaking and frightening. This school and its administrators need to have better communication with parents in making sure we know when sports/activities are canceled bc not everyone child has a cell phone and shouldn’t put that responsibility on children. I’m very disappointed in their lack of professionalism and care for their students and parents.Parent Review1y ago - Etiwanda Colony Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToday was my son’s (1st grade) last day at Falcon ridge (transferring him to the neighborhood school for convenience. The commute is just a lot and he gets really irritable about waking up earlier and having to sit in the car so long before & after school. I presented transferring as a choice and showed him where the neighborhood school was (his brother’s preschool is across the street from it) & he expressed desire to go there. Mrs. Clark had such a tremendous impact on his self esteem & motivation to learn. She really is an exemplary educator & has left a lasting imprint on his schooling experience. I’m not kidding when I say that woman radiates kindness. (Literally her vibe is so warm & compassionate). I cannot say enough good things about her. She would do activities in the classroom that encouraged a growth mindset & really emphasizes socioemotional support. She would support students by emphasizing their effort & always providing supplemental materials to help them achieve their specific goals. She went above and beyond to meet their needs. Dr. Wilbert, the peincipal, has an incredible mind. She’s so innovative & has all these amazing ideas on how to immerse technology with the student experience. She really values community engagement & goes out of her way to create avenues for parents to have a platform & to make herself available to them. I really connected with her & genuinely liked talking with her. Helena in the front office was always so warm & friendly! She never got annoyed when I would ask to leave stuff. She genuinely seems to love doing what she does. His kindergarten teacher, Mrs. McCullough, really engaged students & made immersive lesson plans (science projects, a take home Fox for them to care for). They still did the am/pm split while he was in kinder & I was always so impressed with how much she was able to accomplish with their learning & how many more things my son knew by the end of the year. She went above & beyond to do fun creative things for them (the kindy 500, a memory book I will forever cherish). She was excellent about communicating with parents & is an amazing teacher!Parent Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 15634 Parry Peak Dr.
