3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOverall this school really neglected the special needs individuals. On numerous accounts a special needs individual would run away and ESCAPE the school. This individual was far larger than the people who were responsible to take care of him, they clearly had no control. The vice principal had to chase him. His caretakers did nothing. The counselors shared information I shared with them numerous times with other counselors and STUDENTS. They were very unprofessional and would tell me about other students including their learning needs, and if people liked them or not (their social status), and I would know their full name. I had a friend who turned on me and did horrible things and they did nothing about it even when I faced a death threat.Other Review2mo ago - Miller Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI feel so lucky to be a part of the Miller Elementary Community. It is a small school with a big heart. Every teacher truly cares for the children and if you choose to be, you can be involved in every step of your child’s education. Administration has always been quick to fix any issues and lines of communication are always open. Lots of fun events for the family planned throughout the year. Lots of afterschool clubs and activities, including after school childcare available.Parent Review9mo ago - Escondido High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEscondido High is a beacon of educational dedication, a place where teachers are not merely educators but passionate advocates for their students' success. My relationship with the faculty has allowed me to witness firsthand the incredible dedication and profound commitment they bring to their classrooms. Each teacher at Escondido High invests not just their time and knowledge, but their hearts and souls into fostering an environment of learning and growth. The school is cognizant of the socioeconomic challenges that many of its students face, with numerous learners coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and navigating the complexities of mastering English as their second language. Yet, it's the response to these challenges that truly sets Escondido High apart. Through a blend of innovative teaching strategies, culturally responsive curricula, and an unwavering support system, the school wholeheartedly embraces the diverse tapestry of its student body.Escondido High's approach is inclusive and empowering, ensuring that every student, irrespective of their starting point, is provided with the resources and support to not only meet their educational needs but to excel beyond them. The school has implemented a robust academic support system that includes language development programs, tutoring services, and a welcoming environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential. The administration and faculty have created an oasis of learning that transcends the traditional role of an educational institution. They prepare their students not just academically, but also equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their lives outside of school walls. Escondido High's efforts extend into the realm of life skills, fostering resilience, and providing a foundation for continuous improvement and lifelong success. In an era where education is pivotal to shaping the future, Escondido High stands out as an exemplary model of how schools can be catalysts for positive change, tirelessly working to improve the lives of their students and, by extension, the community at large. It's with immense pride that I commend the teachers and staff for their extraordinary work, and I look forward to the continued strides Escondido High will make in nurturing and developing the leaders of tomorrow.Other Review5mo ago - Check out schools near 900 Howard Ave #47.
