6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school for 2 years (7th and 8th grade) for years 2012-2013 & 2013 - 2014 and I gotta say this school has gotten a bad reputation from my personal experience Kennedy Middle School is a really good school. The history teachers are amazing. The science teachers are above amazing. The english teachers are ok. The PE teachers are ok but I have heard the PE teacher say some swear words. Kennedy is a really fun MESA program where you engineer bridges, boats, planes, etc and compete at county, regional, then state. MESA is a really fun program I was in it for both years and those two years were the best years I have ever had at a school. I really recommend this school to ANYONE.Other Review9y ago - Sunflower Elementary School

"It's a somewhat older area in terms of residents, but pretty safe nonetheless. A little dark at night because there aren't enough lamp posts, but it's still fine at night for a walk. "

"Smaller city typing of living. Nice place to have children growup in, compared to a big city. Driving distance to the river, 1 1/2 to the beach and close enough to drive big bear."

"Regardless of how safe the neighborhood is generally, it is better to always keep doors locked, both house and car. People from outside the neighborhood like to come and walk around in the middle of the night in the hopes that car doors are unlocked and this is happened a number of times throughout the years. "
