1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a grandparent am very concerned that some of the students behavior is unacceptable as with some of the teachers as how they approach bad incidents and not approaching the situation in a way to where the student is scared to report the incident due to th e consequences he will have to deal with after reporting , be by teachers or the other students that were reported. Can't never get a straight answer to our questions asked or messages left ,not returned. Due to medical concerns of mine , our child has to remain there for now. 2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst school in the East Valley. The school is completely chaotic. There is no routine no structure no procedures no consequences no discipline. This is not a result of being an inner-city school nearby Carson Middle School in Mesa has a similar demographic and yet those students have a predictable routine and clear objectives.I have taught all over the East Valley and South Central Phoenix and this is by far the worst school outside of the prison Juvenile detention system in which I have taught. This school is not that much better than juvenile prison. This is a failing school a bad class is a teacher problem and a bad school is an administration problem. 3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is pathetic, it is run by Mormons for Mormons by Mormons. Its a true disgusting depiction of a Mesa Public School. They tell you what you want to hear for the IB program. My daughter could have gone to a better school with AP classes but chose Westwood which has been an unpleasant experience. The Counselors have no idea what they are doing and never have answers. The Athletic Director is related to many of the coaches. "Great access to the freeway and light rail. Both are within just a mile or two. We especially love the convenience of the airport, zoo, and other features in Phoenix. "

"I lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and leaving it wasn’t my choice (family tragedy). The houses are older but i felt most at home in it. Dogs are welcomed and there are plenty of kids to play with. Your neighborhood Fry’s is around the corner as well. Majority of the neighbors are friendly and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. "

"My neighborhood has easy access to busses and is only a few miles to the light rail to get to Phoenix without driving. It is also a quick 15 minute drive to the airport for business ventures. "

"It is a quiet, friendly community. I have lived here for a few years now. Neighborhood Watch keeps the community supervised. Convenience Stores and food joints are at a walking distance. Safe all around."
