4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageKids run wild in the hall. Walk into the classes and sse if you notice any structured learning going on. Chromebooks not being used effectively, kids sitting and rawing in Science classes, etc. Their scores would improve if they went back to the good ol' way of teaching and take the toys out of their hands.Parent Review4y ago - Lee High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLast year my daughter went to Lee for the vocal magnet. Her teachers were fantastic. She had a connection with each of them, they all sought to help her learn. Sometimes it was tough-love, sometimes it was just plain old help. The magnet was supposed to be bigger last year than it actually was (incidentally, it is promising to be big again this year - so I guess we'll see), even so my daughter participated in All City choir, All State Choir, Trumbauer (she went to state), the yearly Lee Lyric Musical, Solo & Ensemble Assessment, and 3 school choir performances. In addition to that she auditioned for and got into the musical theater class. As a parent of a kid with talent, I couldn't be happier. The magnet program has provided her with the opportunities she needed, plus real, legitimate training for her voice and acting (a big shout out to Ms. Viv Atkins, she is going to miss you so much this coming year!).Parent Review8y ago - Montview Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll four of my kids went through Montview Elementary, I love to be involved in as many school functions as I can, and it used to be my favorite k-5 school while Dr McGinnis and then Mr Strong were principal. After Mr Strong left office, and this new lady came in, it all changed. You rarely even see her around the school, unlike her predecessors who were visible in the classrooms, hallways, at all the awards and appreciation events, school functions, etc. She simply does not seem to care, and has an air of contempt about her like she was demoted into the position. She evidently doesnt care enough about the kids safety, because this is the first year I have seen such pandemonium in the car riders lanes in front of the building, without any adults to monitor traffic and parking. My child has not had A SINGLE field trip ANYWHERE this year under her leadership. The faculty is discouraged, morale is low. In short, Montview Elementary will be a wonderful school again when Ms Davis puts her heart into loving and educating those children, or allows somebody else to do the position justice.Parent Review10y ago - Check out schools near 2807 Garvin Rd NW.

"Very nice neighborhood. Neighbors are all very friendly & helpful to one another. Residents walk their dogs & take them to dog parks. Good place to relax & get to know new neighbors. If anyone needs help cutting their grass or doing anything all they have to do is ask. Community is always clean & safe. I would recommend this neighborhood to everyone. When dogs or cats go missing it's on neighborhood watch to help find them. "

"We've lived in HSV Hills for many years and love the friendly neighbors! We've lived in Pill Hill & Piedmont; HSV Hills has the privacy and retreat of those neighborhoods, without the steep hills/long drives to everything. Very safe, well-established, primely located community near Hampton Cove, affords the best of both worlds: peaceful hillside privacy & proximity to everything. Near premier schools, The Arsenal, library/community center, churches, greenways, golf, shopping & restaurants galore. "
