3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLast year my daughter went to Lee for the vocal magnet. Her teachers were fantastic. She had a connection with each of them, they all sought to help her learn. Sometimes it was tough-love, sometimes it was just plain old help. The magnet was supposed to be bigger last year than it actually was (incidentally, it is promising to be big again this year - so I guess we'll see), even so my daughter participated in All City choir, All State Choir, Trumbauer (she went to state), the yearly Lee Lyric Musical, Solo & Ensemble Assessment, and 3 school choir performances. In addition to that she auditioned for and got into the musical theater class. As a parent of a kid with talent, I couldn't be happier. The magnet program has provided her with the opportunities she needed, plus real, legitimate training for her voice and acting (a big shout out to Ms. Viv Atkins, she is going to miss you so much this coming year!).Parent Review8y ago - Check out schools near 216 Ward Ave NE.

"I love the Five Point's neighborhood community. Walking distance to downtown, upscale restaurants and grocery store. Lots of trees and beautiful flowers as you walk the streets of the neighborhood. A cohesive and friendly place to live! Also short walk to metro. Miles of hiking in Bankhead Forest-- within walking distance, also. Just a hop to get onto I-565, and to UAH."

"I loved living in Five-Points. And now that Publix is going up; new, nice restaurants; walking proximity to downtown (which now has some nightlife to it)-- defines a great place to live. Much of Five Points is in the best school district in Huntsville (Blossomwood Elementary). A new facility now for families with kids of that age. This neighborhood also qualifies for Huntsville Middle and Huntsville High. Less than five minutes to Huntsville hospital, as well. Great place for all ages. It's also the only neighborhood where my neighbors extended friendship, and looked out for one another. Cozy hamlet, indeed!"

"I lived in this neighborhood for six years. I've lived many places and never felt so at home as I did in Five Points. I knew my neighbors--great folks. And, everyone looked for each other. Such a cozy, safe place to call home. Wish I had some ruby slippers!"
