3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCedar Ridge has an amazingly active and supportive Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), led by Leigh Ellen Atkins. Ms. Atkins does not like to take credit for her wonderful efforts, but as the PTO President, Ms. Atkins works tirelessly to ensure the teachers have what they need for their classrooms. Ms. Atkins writes letters and grants; calls our State Representatives, Partners in Education, and local industries to gain our school much needed funding for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) activities. Ms. Atkins works with the teachers to ensure our children are in a hands-on learning environment with a strong focus on STEM. As a Mechanical Engineer, Ms. Atkins personally knows the importance of making sure our children have a strong foundation in all their STEM classes. Ms. Atkins is truly amazing and has a huge heart for all our children.Parent Review6y ago - Austin High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAustinville has one of the most caring staffs of any school I've ever seen. We truly love our students, and it shows in our compassion for them (providing food, coats, clothes, funeral costs for a sibling of a student), in our teaching (just walk down the halls and listen to the teachers as they teach!), and in the morale of the faculty. We are friends, as well as coworkers. We are led by a caring principal who provides whatever supplies and training we need, then trusts us to do our job. It is a joy and a pleasure to work with these professionals, and to be able to teach such a precious student body. I am blessed to work here!Teacher Review11y ago - Check out schools near 2620 Poole Ave SW.

"It’s a good place to walk dogs, other dogs are all around the neighborhood. It’s very dog friendly, there are great parks and sidewalks. People mostly pick up after their dogs which is very appreciated. We really enjoy having our dogs here and they seem to really love it here too!! They love going for walks and playing in the park! And it’s safe for us to let them outside without leashes on. Our dobby and Bonnie girl loves all the birds and squirrels and they love "
