1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated SEVERAL years ago from W.S. Neal High School and my experience from 6th grade thru graduating 12th grade were very positive. We didn't have the same problems in our society as we have now. Our teachers were as good as any in the state if not country. There was no bullying. NONE. It just didn't exist in my time. My graduating class produced many good, responsible people who contributed to our society in a positive manner. My heart is still at W.S.Neal High School. I still wear my High School graduation ring with pride...... Right now I have intentions to leave it to my Great grandson when I pass cause he seems to really like it..Although I do hope he gets his own one day but I don't think it will be the quality of mine.......When a fellow Nealian, from my era, sees my ring it is automatically recognized as a Neal ring cause our whole class had the same ring. And apparently for a few years afterward that same practice was still in effect cause some of my fellow Nealians are from classes after mine who are recognizing me as a fellow Nealian from my class ring, which is just like the one he or she might be wearing. I was disappointed when my own children began to graduate from W.S.Neal and they picked out their own design for their rings....I could go on forever I suppose but I can't finish this without mentioning the extracurricular activity that made my years in school so easy and passed too quick--the school band , band concerts, football games and the half-time show ( which entailed many hours of practice both during and after school} we marched in the Mobile Mardi Gra parade 3 years while I was there, plus the governors inauguration parade in Montgomery. Band was very important for me and my sibling while we were there...And we had a GOOD Band. Enough from me --I'm just so thankful that I lived my life in the era that I have.........and I had W.S.Neal High School in that era........The administration, teachers, curriculum, the mores of the time and most of all my fellow students....Other Review5y ago - W S Neal Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is an ok school but they do have a lot bullying that does not get handle like it supposed. There is poor communicate. The principle was a good when she was the asst. But now she is main principle she lets the power go to her head. She don't listern to parents. The school makes mistakes and the parents and children deal with it. WSN does not know how to deal with kids with ADHD or ADD.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 6909 Old Highway 31.

"My neighborhood is older but has a lake and wooded trails and a city park. Modest homes of working folks. I enjoy that people are laid back and many people walk and take their dogs walking. "

"No public transportation and it limits those who want to work. You must have a car to work here. It’s a small town. There are some bus services for the elderly if they are poor but that doesn’t help young people stay here. The town loses people "
