6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is complete chaos. There are no resources for students or teachers. It is run like a prison- Not a middle school. Students are treated and talked to horribly by some teachers and administrators. There is no accountability from administrators. There is only finger pointing to others for all of the failings of the school. There are numerous fights each day. Teachers get hit regularly when fights break out. It’s a dangerous environment for all involved. Jefferson County needs to take a look at the number of teachers that resigned during the school year. That should tell them a lot.Other Review10mo ago - Crumly Chapel Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe seniors trash the place every year on home coming, those kids are evil. Do not recommend for quiet students. They'll act like they're non existent, this pertains to teachers too. Do not recommend for mature students as they won't fit in with the others. My child had to be taken out.Parent Review6mo ago - Check out schools near 2020 Cedar Crest Dr.

"The first time I drove to this neighborhood, I was a little worried until I was actually in the neighborhood. The outskirts don’t seem the best, but this area is so cute. All of our neighbors are friendly and everyone keeps their houses/landscaping up to par. A lot of families live here, and everyone seems to have a dog (which I adore). It’s fairly calm. I always feel safe. We’re so close to downtown; Restaurants, stores and shops are endless and easily accessible. My biggest and only complaint would be the roads. They need some major TLC, but if you’ve ever lived in Birmingham, you’d probably already expect that. Commuting to work in Vestavia normally takes between 16-22 minutes. Not terrible at all. Overall, can’t recommend this area enough!!"
