(NYSE: TRLA), a leading online marketplace for home buyers, sellers, renters, and real estate professionals, today announced that company CEO, Pete Flint, has been named the Innovator of the Year by Inman News, a leading real estate industry news source.

During 2013 Trulia has continued its heritage of innovation with the launch of Trulia Suggests, a personalized, photo-centric way for consumers to discover homes they might like. Users can refine their suggestions in real-time by ‘following’ and ‘liking’ homes that appeal to them, or ‘hiding’ those that are not a fit. 

In May, Trulia announced a definitive agreement to acquire Market Leader, Inc. to strengthen its product offerings for the real estate industry. This transformative deal will enable Trulia to help brokerages and franchisors accelerate the productivity of their agents by offering them the most comprehensive end-to-end solution in real estate via web and mobile devices.

Just this week, Trulia announced a new find an agent directory that makes it easy to search for and find the right real estate agent with at-a-glance results and the option to filter searches based on relevant experience. For real estate professionals, the new directory provides the opportunity to stand out to potential clients with a Trulia agent profile that demonstrates their local knowledge and connects them with more consumers.

Past Innovations

Trulia has been building new technology to help consumers find the right place to live and connect them with real estate professionals since it was founded in 2005. In 2007, Trulia built the Trulia Community, which has since become the largest real estate community on the web. In 2008, Trulia released the first iPhone real estate app with nationwide coverage. Today Trulia has 14 mobile apps including dedicated apps for consumers and professionals across all the major mobile platforms, such as iOS and Android.

Trulia launched its rentals offering in 2010 and has seen rapid growth in traffic and leads from this side of the business ever since.

The success of Trulia’s mobile apps continues to grow.In 2012 Trulia launched the only dedicated mobile ad product in the industry, which continues to be a powerful way for real estate professionals to reach home buyers and sellers on mobile devices, who are more engaged and more likely to send leads.
