I went to this school long ago in the mid 70’s. I transferred from an out of state school that was probably ranked much higher than East Lynn Elementary.Rankings don’t matter, however, teachers do. The best teachers I ever had were Wayne County teachers, and my teacher at East Lynn was among the best of the best. My interest in learning was awakened in his classroom at East Lynn Elementary, which was the exact opposite of the experiences I had at the much larger, better funded school I attended in the north east.This little school is the foundation of my life long education, and I am grateful for the things I learned there. I’ve enjoyed a wonderful life so far, and no matter where in the world my work takes me, I know that I owe this school a debt I can never repay.Thank you!
