These are only bullet points concerning the matter and full details are significantly greater.The administration does not address sexually inappropriate behavior appropriately.This past school year, a fourth-grade boy inappropriately touched several female classmates. His punishment was only losing recess.The teacher and the director tried keeping the issue quiet and the girls were quieted and discouraged from discussing what happened to them because they felt it was "ruining" the boy’s reputation. However, the teacher admitted the boy has issues with space.The teacher and director did not report this incident to safety staff or other teachers which led to another incident involving the boy and one of the little girls.The teacher and director made the issue more about the girl’s responses to his assault, as if their reactions were more egregious than his assault.There were several attempts to discuss the matter with the board due to the inappropriate way the director handled the situation. However, there is no immediate access to the board.There is no transparency with the board and all complaints are filtered through one person, the director. She even presents issues about herself, to the board and the board only address matters they see fit.A pastor of the church was made aware of this incident along with other transgressions of involving the director and other staff, such as a teacher shoving students, a teacher caught lying on a student, and all concerns fell on death ears.There was a third incident involving the little boy and after addressing the matter, I was advised in a very threatening letter that my children could not return the following year (I didn’t intend on returning). The letter was written in a very intimidating manner and the director attempted to silence me by threatening to release the children immediately if I was caught speaking with staff on school grounds.At one point, the director even started targeting my son when I tried addressing the issues at hand.Separate from all of the above, children were also exposed to, and bit by ticks. There was no schoolwide attention or warnings given to parents.Again, this is a synopsis!
