I taught 26 years at the Clark County Skills Center as the Financial Customer Services instructor. I want everyone to know how successful so many of my prior students are and how well they have done in a field they chose after completing a program at the Skills Center. Many are in management level positions at local banks and credit unions, some moved into financial planning, some are bank officers, make loans, and have advanced a career that many began at age 16 or 17. There are also those who did not choose the financial field, but tell me they got their first job because of the Skills Center training. Though this program no longer exists, the other programs have similar stories and we all run into our graduates who, without fail, tell us what an impact the Clark County Skills Center had on their lives. This is not just a school for those who "want a job," it is a school where lives begin and careers are started. Whether you want to attend college or go straight into the workforce, the Skills Center will give you a head start. Thank you to all the people who took my class and make the Skills Center look so good.
