"The proximity to the oceanfront can’t be beat. There always something to do in the summertime and the beach is lovely in the shoulder seasons as well. "

"There are a lot of families here, and parents will work together to keep all the kids safe if they notice something unusual. People are nice and helpful. There are kids of all ages around, and the schools are fantastic. "

"just moved here April, 2019. I got to experience the well orchestrated "SITW". I watch people of all ages walking, biking or jogging just outside my home. I haven't experienced negative side effects from tourists but that could be be cause I'm 6 blocks from the beach. so far, it's been great!"

"This is a great area to live in despite some of its few short comings. Not everybody is friendly but the majority rules and that's what counts. They come together for all the right things. The children can be a bit much, though. The neighborhood is becoming more of a hot spot."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for a little over three years and I enjoy this area. Majority of the people in this area are friendly, helpful and caring. The teachers and staff at the local/surrounding schools are great as well."

"Some of, if not most of, your neighbors are/will be like family. But, still always keep a close eye on your own child because traffic can and will get crazy."

"There is nothing that dog walkers wouldn't love living in this neighborhood. The streets are lined with great lighting, a plethora of trash receptacles and beautiful trees."

"Military jets fly overhead often. Very loud but remind of our freedom in the USA. Many neighbors have dogs and walk them a lot. I love God and go to Shadowlawn Church just 3 blocks from my home."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you are a present parent and you advocate for your child, this is not the school for you nor your child. Being a spokesperson/advocate will cause you to receive backlash from teachers and administrators at this school. This school is supposed to be a prestigious school under the umbrella of an Achievable Dream. However, the only dream that is Achievable is not for the students but for the school in that they try to recommend programs for the students so that they can receive money. Communication between some of the teachers and parents is sub par. Please do your thorough research before choosing this school to register your precious child into.Parent Review3mo ago9 Reviews - W.T. Cooke Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you want your children to succeed then please look straight past this school. The help is no help at all and I'm pretty surprised considering all the good things I've heard from this school. Need new staff and new people in general who actually want to work.Other Review2y ago7 Reviews - Birdneck Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not teach children good citizenship. The children basically own the school and are allowed to run wild. I have seen the cafeteria. Older children are allowed to bully younger children. The younger children are bullied into giving up their lunches to older children and do not feel that they are allowed to keep their food. The teachers work tirelessly but the current administration does not support any of the teachers hi feel intimidated. Children are taught to judge others in negative and demeaning ways. If you are looking for a good private school, DO NOT put your child here. This is a lot worse then public school which my children have been in before. I had to take my child out if this school after older children continued to bully her and the administration refused to help her. This school does not teach discipline and respect. The teachers work tirelessly but the administration is a sham and very condescending to them as well as the parents.Parent Review11mo ago23 Reviews
