Outstanding and dedicated professionals. So many teachers "own" their students and their well-being. There is so much potential for this school and community. Although it has not yet arrived at that potential, it is well on its way! I would not mind at all if my child attended this school.

My kids had a long time in westside things change a lot and for good they are latinos and have the best grades ever! Unfortunately teachers can do all work if parents are not involved in ther education .. Its really sad to see kids waiting for ther parents to show up when they have ther promotions in school, education begins at home! My kids have bad experience with other children cuz they are latinos but i explain them that is cuz their parents dont educate them good . I cant just blame the school for that , and get them out , anyways they will always find people like that everywher! Teachers do what they can do but they are not the parent!

Having worked in several school in surrounding areas, I was extremely hesitant to enroll our daughter in a public school, but Glen Cove has put the majority of my concerns at ease. I have yet to meet any staff that weren’t professional and courteous. 5/5 from someone with a LOT of experience with schools.

the staff are not helpful and my kids have been sick at school, which the school never call me to let me know nor have my kids been able to see the nurse there teachers will not allow them. I've had them put my kids on the wrong bus along with the school making them miss the bus making me have to leave work early to get them. This is the worst school they have been too.

Principal Routt started at East in the fall of 2019 when my son started Kindergarten.She has had an absolutely wonderful impact on the school as had Assistant Principal Thomas. Routt and Thomas knows each child in the school personally and are vested in ensuring their social, emotional and academic needs are being met. Also, all of my kids teachers are happy with the school leadership which speaks volumes. Additionally, the teachers at East are stellar. They are driven and compassionate to see the students do well but also understand kids are kids and make the learning environment fun, comfortable and engaging. And the school collectively met the challenges of everything Covid sent their way. I am so happy my children get to experience the inviting, diverse and compassionate environment of East.
