4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son did well there, the staff was always friendly. Due to the supportive teachings and postice atmosphere, my son was able to get a 600 on his reading SOL. The Culture and vaiues at this school are what our children need.Parent Review2w ago22 Reviews - Weems Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have switched my Kids to a different school. But on his 1st day of school, they got him on a bus although he was kiss and ride. The princess was NOT friendly and absolutely not a great contact person if you encounter any issues. The staff need to be more welcoming and friendly as they're giving kids and parents a not so welcoming vibe!Parent Review10mo ago9 Reviews - Cougar Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is very disappointing. There is little to no academic support for students who are above grade level—advanced learners are not challenged and are often left without proper guidance or enrichment.Academic planning overall feels weak, with no clear structure to help students grow at their individual level. It seems like students are expected to fit into one system rather than being supported based on their needs.Additionally, the environment does not feel balanced or inclusive for all cultures. There appears to be an overemphasis in one area while other students and backgrounds are not equally supported.Overall, the school is lacking in both academic standards and fairness, and significant improvements are needed.Parent Review3w ago11 Reviews - Signal Hill Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSignal Hill Elementary continues to surprise me, not are they the BEST school and I can truly say this because I have had children in Manassas Park, the City & the County, plus other states. They have gone above and beyond my expectations helping my children not just in learning but also in social development. However last night they had the best trunk and treat event ever and it was not just for the school families it was open to everyone for FREE. a big thank you to the volunteers my children had a blast. This is just one of the many events that they do. They help families for the holidays, have an excellent special learning program, the library is amazing. This is the best Elementary school out there i am so grateful I and my children are blessed to be going here. My one student moved on to middle school and is now making A&B because of the foundation she received from Signal Hill. I wish we could stay here through high-school. Best school ever. Thank you to all the staff for being the best.Parent Review8mo ago13 Reviews - Yorkshire Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had two kids attend Centreville Elementary School from kindergarten through sixth grade, and our experience has been nothing short of amazing. The faculty, teachers, and support staff have been incredible every step of the way. My daughter, currently in sixth grade, loves her school so much that she's sad when each school year ends, and she bonds deeply with her teachers, who make her feel supported, especially since she struggles with change. When my son attended, he struggled with undiagnosed ADHD, and his third-grade teacher played a pivotal role in helping us recognize his needs without overstepping boundaries. Thanks to their guidance, he received the support he needed and is now thriving in middle school as a straight-A student. Centreville’s motto, "CES is the best," truly resonates with our experience. I am so proud of the caring, nurturing environment that has helped shape my children into the wonderful individuals they are today. Principal Mr. Douds leads the school with dedication and heart. I wholeheartedly give Centreville Elementary School five stars! However, I can’t give five stars for safety—not because of the school itself, but because of broader Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) issues. This is something I continue to fight for with the school board, as ensuring our kids’ safety should always be a priority. Despite this, the school does its best with what it can control, and I remain grateful for the support and education my children have received.Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews - Emmanuel Christian School
