4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have switched my Kids to a different school. But on his 1st day of school, they got him on a bus although he was kiss and ride. The princess was NOT friendly and absolutely not a great contact person if you encounter any issues. The staff need to be more welcoming and friendly as they're giving kids and parents a not so welcoming vibe!Parent Review8mo ago9 Reviews - Richard C. Haydon Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHaydon elementary had not shown any improvement with staff professionalism and accountability since the new principal took over in the last 3 years. Year after year regardless of issues raised about unprofessional staff and incidents among students you only receive lip service and left feeling like your concern is invalid. I say it’s lip services because staff you come in contact daily remain rude and unwelcoming despite of reporting incidents of their behavior. This school SEVERELY lacks diversity which results is a concern it’s self. School staff are evidence of the leadership they are provided and the community is left underwhelmed and let down to often.Parent Review2mo ago24 Reviews - Loch Lomond Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDue to being a part of a military family and having to move around frequently, I have worked in several schools, and I can honestly say this is one of the best schools I have ever worked at. There is a strong sense of community, students are excited to come to school and have built positive relationships with teachers. If my students were still school-aged, I would definitely bring them to school with me.Other Review1y ago10 Reviews - Sudley Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had two kids attend Centreville Elementary School from kindergarten through sixth grade, and our experience has been nothing short of amazing. The faculty, teachers, and support staff have been incredible every step of the way. My daughter, currently in sixth grade, loves her school so much that she's sad when each school year ends, and she bonds deeply with her teachers, who make her feel supported, especially since she struggles with change. When my son attended, he struggled with undiagnosed ADHD, and his third-grade teacher played a pivotal role in helping us recognize his needs without overstepping boundaries. Thanks to their guidance, he received the support he needed and is now thriving in middle school as a straight-A student. Centreville’s motto, "CES is the best," truly resonates with our experience. I am so proud of the caring, nurturing environment that has helped shape my children into the wonderful individuals they are today. Principal Mr. Douds leads the school with dedication and heart. I wholeheartedly give Centreville Elementary School five stars! However, I can’t give five stars for safety—not because of the school itself, but because of broader Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) issues. This is something I continue to fight for with the school board, as ensuring our kids’ safety should always be a priority. Despite this, the school does its best with what it can control, and I remain grateful for the support and education my children have received.Parent Review1y ago17 Reviews - Centre Ridge Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our first experience in elementary school with my older soon being in kindergarten. He absolutely loves it, and is thrilled about learning and going to school every day. He has improved in every academic area but also in social areas as well. The teachers are amazing and everyone I talk to who goes here so far has loved their experience.Parent Review2y ago13 Reviews - The Merit School of Manassas

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMerit School has been 5/5 on everything in the almost year we've been here. We're aging out of the infant program and the teachers and staff are nothing but engaged with us, available, and active in our kid's growth. Our child had a special therapist for a developmental issue and we got to have them come to the school and we all sat down together and taught the teachers some activities they can use with our child. Would recommend to anyone and I have many times.Parent Review2y ago8 Reviews
